Reims. I followed the red and white trail to the abbye of Saint Remi, the biggest Roman Church in northern France. I went inside. I sat down. A choir started to sing. They sang "Fuerchte dich nicht", "Don't be afraid". Bach, but a different one, Johann Christoph Bach.

I walked back to my hotel. A young man passed me on a skateboard with tremendous speed. He carried an ironing board under his left arm.
